GoCompare banned again for black hat?
The practice of link building and who you trust with it is a very serious issue. I blogged some time ago how GoCompare insurance comparator had managed to get themselves removed from the Google index, even for their own brand name. Black Hat SEO
Wouldn't you know it they have gone again for their own name. Last time it was reported to be in connection with an email campaign trying to solicit links.
This serves to reinforce the message during a conversation I had recently with a client, yes there is no doubt it is possible to find cheep SEO, yes even to the point at half our cost - but what cost to your brand, if your SEO Agency gets you banned in the organic listings because either they are nieve, uninformed or just don't care about the techniques they use in your name.
