SEO Speaker stopped at US CustomsLyndsay Walker, Director of Online Marketing at Canada's Web Shop, was prevented from travelling yesterday to speak at the Las Vegas Affiliate Summit. I can sympathise I have to say I was almost refused entry a few years ago when attending a meeting in Seattle. In my case the issue of whether I was being paid was the key issue and who paid for my travel, which I'm pleased to say they eventually accepted.
I feel for Lyndsay, I know she has entered the US many times under similar circumstances, but for US Customs to state "people CANNOT go to the United States to speak at a conference that people pay to attend." where does it stop, this could impact on many of us travelling for business.
