SMEs need professional SEO advice
Most SMEs have their own website, yet they still don't know how to get their sites ranked on search engines and are missing out on customers who cannot find them.
SMEs need to implement a few cost-effective measures to optimise their websites. Whilst traffic can be bought through paid advertising, the importance of optimising for Google (and other search engines) natural search should not be under-estimated.
The basics maybe very elementary but website owners need to give consideration to think about what keyphrases people would use in their searches and include them in the internet address, the page title, page heading and content.
It must be considered that search is being influenced by much more than keyword stuffing and link building. Web 2.0 developments present organisations with new creative ways of attracting attention and driving traffic to their website.
Google's algorithm rewards more powerful websites, companies with more than one website would do better if they concentrated their efforts into one, although a second site can be of use as a supportive strategic measure.
