This is a serious issue to anyone involved at the link building "coal face", we typcally keep specific machines for this role. In fairness, the function of these machines is for this single purpose and even with precautions they do need to be reinstalled from scratch on a regular basis (I'm such a fan of Samsungs Recovery III). Due to the nature of some of the infections from this activity, the machines are isolated from the main network, sitting on their own firewalled router.

Maybe there should be a "public health warning" stamped on the side of these machines, there's an idea!
